Phase V
Each five-year phase of the WHO European Healthy Cities Network focuses on core priority themes and is launched with a political declaration and a set of strategic goals. The overarching goal of the current Phase V (2009–2013) is Health and Health Equity in all Local Policies. The three core themes are:
- caring and supportive environments
- healthy living
- healthy urban environment and design
The Zagreb Declaration for Healthy Cities is the political declaration that supports phase V which outlines the principles, goals and themes of the Phase.
Phase V runs to the end of 2013. Work is already underway to evalute the last five year phase which will run into 2014.
